This article will guide you through bulk editing Start/End/Due dates in a Brightspace course. This is useful if you have a bunch of assignments to set the dates on and they have the same date. This article will also walk you through bulk changing dates by an offset (for example, make the due date one week later).

  6. Select either Offset by direction and range or Calculate range between two dates

    1. Offset by direction and range:

      1. Use this if you know you need to move the dates by a set number of days or hours (e.g. 7 days, or 12 hours)

      2. Use the drop-down menus under Days and Hours to set the direction to move the date (forward/backward)

      3. Enter the number of days and hours in their respective boxes

      4. Click Save

    2. Calculate range between two dates:

      1. Use this if you’re uncertain of the exact range the dates need to move by, or need to move the dates over a more significant figure of time.

      2. Provide one of the original dates in the From box (eg. 09/12/2023)

      3. Provide the desired due date in the To box (eg. 08/29/2023)

      4. Click save, all the checked dates will be adjusted by the same offset (17 days in this example)
