Moving Quizzes Within the Same Course

This article will guide you through the process of moving quizzes between modules within the same course. Be sure to follow all steps in this guide to avoid confusion in the future. In this guide, we will move Week 2 Quiz (Chapter 4) from Module #2 to Module #1, renaming it to Week 1 Quiz (Chapter 4). We will also move Week 1 Quiz (Chapter 2) from Module #1 to Module #2, renaming it to Week 2 Quiz (Chapter 2).

1. Move the quiz(zes) in Content from the current module to the new module.

2. Rename the quiz(zes) if necessary

3. Navigate to Grades → Grades

4. Click on the Manage Grades tab

5. Click on the down-arrow next to the quiz and select Edit

6. Rename the quiz if necessary, and update the short code for the quiz if necessary

7. Repeat steps 5-7 for each quiz being moved

8. Click the More Actions drop-down and select Reorder

9. Use the drop-downs on the right to set the new order of the grade items

10. Click Save to finish

11. Navigate to Assignments → Quizzes

12. Click the More Actions drop-down and select Reorder

13. Use the drop-downs on the right to set the new order of the quizzes.
