Taking Attendance with Qwickly

Kennebec Valley Community College is now using a new platform to track student attendance: Qwickly. This platform works very similarly to our old attendance platform and this article will walk you through getting set up and taking attendance in the new tool.

First-Time Setup

  1. Open the Brightspace course you’d like to take attendance for

  2. Click on Qwickly Attendance in the Navigation Bar

  3. Click the blue Accept button

  4. Click on the Begin Setup button

  5. Configure your settings as desired

  6. Congratulations! Your Qwickly is now ready to use, read further to learn how to take attendance.

 

Taking Attendance

  1. Open the Brightspace course you’d like to take attendance for

  2. Click on Qwickly Attendance in the Navigation Bar

  3. Click on Attendance → List in the left-side menu pane

  4. Add the Session Information, select Current Time if you are submitting attendance for a course that ran today, or select Previous Time to submit data from a previous day’s class session. Optionally you can add a title to the session information to help remember what the session was about.

  5. Go down the list and set each student’s attendance status to Present, Absent, Excused, or Tardy

    1. If your students aren’t showing up, click the white Sync Roster button at the top-right of the Students List

  6. Click the blue Submit Attendance button at the bottom of the page
