Chromebook Stuck on Start Quiz Screen

The Respondus LockDown Browser on Chromebooks requires you to allow pop-ups in Chrome to be able to launch the LockDown Browser. If pop-ups are not allowed, the Start Quiz button will bring you to the top of the page and won’t launch the Browser. Follow these steps to add KVCC’s Brightspace to the allowed pop-ups list in Chrome.

  1. Open Chrome on your device

  2. Navigate to Settings → Privacy and Security → Site Settings → Pop ups and redirects

  3. Scroll down to Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects

  4. Click on Add

  5. Enter mccs.brightspace.com

  6. Click on Add

  7. Close and reopen Chrome

  8. Attempt the quiz again
