Many instructors are interested in starting their course before the official start date. This article will outline the situations where this may be possible.

Academic courses cannot be started before the first day of the semester, under any circumstance. Normally, academic courses cannot be opened before the first scheduled day of classes for the course; however exceptions may be made. Approval for this may be sought from the Dean of Academic Affairs, then requested through BoLTS or IT.

Workforce courses may be adjusted with approval from the Dean of Workforce Training. Once approval has been obtained, the date can be adjusted by BoLTS or IT.
