Brightspace Surveys: Likert Scale Responses

The interface for creating a Likert scale response question in a Brightspace Survey is not very intuitive. This article will explain how Likert responses work in Brightspace Surveys.

  1. Add a Likert Question to a survey

  2. Provide a title and introductory text

    1. Note that this introductory text is not where the question itself goes, and should instead be used to explain how to use the Likert Scale or provide context to the questions you will be asking later

  3. Select the scale that fits your question(s) most, available options include:

    1. 1 to 5/8/10

    2. Disagree to Agree

    3. Dissatisfied to Satisfied

    4. Never to Always

    5. Unimportant to Important

    6. Oppose to Support

  4. Check the box if an N/A option should be included with the question(s)

  5. Enter your question(s) in the boxes provided:

  1. Click Save when done
