Download Existing Syllabus from a Course

All Brightspace courses have a designated location for syllabi, this article will show you how to download syllabi from your existing course(s).

Syllabi across course can be a variety of file formats, if you need any assistance finding the proper application to edit these documents, please refer to the list below or reach out to BoLTS Support:

  • PDF: Adobe Acrobat

  • DOC(X): Microsoft Word

  • PPT(X) and PPS(X): Microsoft PowerPoint

  • XLS(X): Microsoft Excel

  • TXT: Any text editor like Notepad, Microsoft Word can also handle these.

  • RTF: Microsoft Word or any rich text editor.

  • HTML: Any code editor like Visual Studio Code.

  1. Open the course(s) in Brightspace

  2. Navigate to Content

  3. Click on Overview/Syllabus in the sidebar menu on the left side of the screen

  4. Click on the Download icon at the bottom of the page.
